Malik Arash Mawlayi to fight for ESPN Martial Combat title in June

"Natural Born Killer" Malik Arash Mawlayi, head MMA instructor at Legacy Gym, will fight for the ESPN Martial Combat championship belt at 72kg. The fight will take place at the Resorts World Entertainment Complex, in Singapore, on 16-17 June.

Malik (pictured above) is training hard and will face off against the experienced American striker Cyrus Washington in a 5x5min round championship bout that will headline the 2 day event.

Legacy gym is already in proud possession of one of the Martial Combat championship belts, after Ole Laursen submitted the highly rated Brazilian sensation Eduardo Pachu in May 2010.

All the trainers and fighters at Legacy Gym are hoping that Malik's dedication and hard work will pay off, and wish him all the best for the big fight. Good luck, Malik!

I guess you won't mind paying excess baggage fees when you have to take that heavy belt back to Sweden, right?
